WARREN HAFFAR JOINS THE CIG BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Council for Inclusive Governance is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Warren R. Haffar as the newest member of CIG’s Board of Directors. Dr. Haffar is a Professor of Political Science at Arcadia University and the Director of the International Peace and Conflict Resolution Graduate Program there. Previously he has served as the Dean of International Affairs at Arcadia and as the Associate Dean for Internationalization. In 1996-2000, he was a Program Officer at Project on Ethnic Relations in Princeton and previously was an Environmental Policy Compliance Mediator at CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado. He has published widely on conflict resolution and conflict analysis covering a diverse geographical area from Costa Rica to Cyprus and from East Africa to the Middle East. He advises the American Graduate School for International Relations and Diplomacy in Paris. Dr. Haffar received his doctoral and M.A. degrees in conflict analysis and peace studies at the University of Pennsylvania and his B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of Utah. We are pleased to have Dr. Haffar join our board and are confident that his research and teaching experience will contribute in a significant way to CIG’s own work on conflict resolution.
